100% Pure Natural Mascara - Pure? Yes. Melty? Also yes.

Image
I was thrilled to find  this online  and order a non-toxic, all natural mascara.  When I first opened it, it had sort of a fruity scent to it. You can definitely tell it is natural.  The wand is pretty standard with short, stiff bristles winding around.  No clumps or smudges at all and goes on very smooth and light-weight.  The first day, I applied 2 layers of this sweet-smelling goodness to my lashes.  It looked fantastic but didn't seem to do much to lengthen compared to my  Mary Kay  favorites.   A few hours later on a hot day, I rub my eye once and its smudged all around my under eyes like a raccoon.  It tends to melt off if you sweat or touch your eye at ALL.   The second day, I thought I could maybe avoid this by applying just one layer instead of two but as soon as I hit midday in hot weather, my eyes were black underneath and around my eye area.  I want to love this product so bad but when it melts,  it makes me look like crap which is the opposite effect I want from make

The Best Aluminum-Free Deodorant

Image
Usually,  to get a decent aluminum-free natural deodorant you need to spend $10+ and unfortunately,  I either get one that smells good but doesn't keep me dry or I get one that wears off mid-day and makes me smell like a skunk.  Ew!   Then I came across this wonderful natural-based company from France known as Acti-Labs .   They have a variety of natural-based beauty and wellness products.  The skincare line is okay.  The hair care line is decent, much like a poor-gal's Monat .  If you aren't able to splurge on the magical Monat shampoo or anti-frizz,  this would be my first recommendation for the next best thing.  Then they have my favorite of all Acti-Labs products which are the Fluoride-free Diamond whitening toothpaste ($4.50) and the aluminum-free deodorant.  They call it the "Pit Stick" which I don't know how to feel about but at just $4.00,  you get an amazing value in the quality of product.   I love the gender-neutral powdery scent. Its very su

Ella+Mila 7-Free Vegan Nail Polish

Image
I n my search for a good, natural-based nail polish, I was happy to come across this brand that is free of 7 bugaboo toxins commonly found in nail polish. They even list the 7 ingredients it does not contain on the side of the box.  Its made in the USA and claims to be Vegan-friendly.  As pictured above, I ordered "Rosy Cheeks" because I like a flirty, feminine pink.   The color is gorgeous and smooth.  It goes on a bit thin so I doubled up on coats but even being hard on my nails, it seems so far to be pretty good with chip-resistance.   I ordered directly from the website and was also happy to find they offered Free Shipping on any order so price-wise it is quite reasonable. It costs more than I would normally spend on a salon-quality regular polish but not much more.  Overall, I am really loving it so far and it is a brand I can feel good about wearing.   I would definitely buy this again in other colors.

Hooray for The Champ

Image
Where do I begin with this fabulous gem of a product?   I love to rock the dry shampoo on the lazy days or to quickly freshen up after a sweaty workout.  I've gone cheap and found out quickly you get what you pay for.  Some brands were straight up like spray-on dandruff.  Then there were the salon-level ones that did the job and did it well.  Hair looked clean and fresh and even volumized.  THEN.. this Champion came into my life.  My friend who owns a salon in town, recommended it informing me that not only did it condition but it also was NON-flammable leaving out icky things like propane and butane.  Whaaa?  This was music to my ears.  I received The Champ with my Market Partner kit when I invested in this natural based anti-aging hair care business known as Monat,  A name spawned from "Modern Nature".   Just from the smooth way it sprayed out, I could tell it was a quality product.  My hair not only bounced back up to a freshly washed appearance but my hair shined an

PRODUCT REVIEW: Paparazzi Accessories

Image
As I've mentioned before, I was so excited to find a $5 jewelry hook up with Paparazzi Accessories.   The jewelry looks fabulous and the best thing is the affordability to accessorize multiple outfits.  Since my discovery of this company, I have ordered 3 times various jewelry items.  I love the blingy bracelet bands, dangly earrings and necklaces.  I think my favorite thing to order is the earrings.  These earrings treat my ears so nice without any issues I would usually have with nickle and other irritating metals.  So far, they aren't too heavy and look like I've spent way more.  The rings look awesome too but I have super tiny fingers so the bands are really too big for me.  Even on the thumb, it rolls around loosely and are evidently designed for average to larger fingers.  I'm okay with that.  What I have noticed and not sure I AM okay with is the very noxious chemical-smell that seems to be soaked into the jewelry pieces, especially the softer clothy suede-li
